Hi, I’m Tara
I am a producer, photo editor, strategist, and storyteller. As the founding director of photography at AFAR Media, a critically acclaimed travel media company, I created the visual language that defined the brand. From 2008 through 2020, I built the photo department from the ground up and managed and mentored a team of photo researchers, and a video editor. During my tenure, I assembled a global network of photographers, received two nominations for the National Magazine Award for photography, and won multiple awards from the Society of Publication Designers. Before joining AFAR, I worked as a photo editor and producer in New York City for publications including Lucky, Seventeen, InStyle, Black Book, and Talk.
Today, I am helping bold and original brands and media companies create a statement with sophisticated, visual storytelling and branded content.
